From Saturday 27 March, if cases remain low, stay at home restrictions will be lifted in Wales and self-contained accommodation will be able to reopen. 

Self-contained accommodation may re-open but only to Welsh customers from a single household.

Holiday providers are urged not to take Easter bookings from outside Wales as people in England cannot holiday in other parts of the UK until 12 April at the earliest.

 NHHPA has been in close contact with Mark Drakeford and we have again proposed the following phased re-opening schedule.

You will recall that our proposal was broadly adopted by the Wales Government last year. 

NHHPA’s 5-PHASE REOPENING PLAN FOR HOLIDAY PARKS 

PHASE 1

Owner-Occupied Self-contained Static Caravans, Lodges, Motorhomes, Touring Caravans etc

are the safest as they do not require any form of shared facility. 

PHASE 2

Rented Self-contained Static Caravans, Lodges and equivalent units

with the application of fully compliant covid-19 cleaning procedures between bookings 

provide safety to the extent of phase 1.

PHASE 3

Take Away facilities and Shops selling food stuffs and essentials

are already allowed on the high street and it would seem reasonable to allow access to these facilities on holiday parks.

Anticipated later this spring:

PHASE 4

Tents, Glamping Pods and Shower Blocks require control features and cleaning regimes which were successfully 

instigated by park owners last year and will for the time being, need to wait further announcements.

PHASE 5

Access to Bars, Restaurants, Games Rooms, Laundry Rooms will be allowed to re-open once it is deemed safe.
